Hulbert Outdoor Center Field Trip

The Thetford Outdoor program took a field trip to the Hulbert Outdoor Center on November 7th. The class was presented with several low ropes course elements to overcome. One example of the elements we had to complete was a rope swing with two platforms called Nitro Swing. The objective was to get everyone to the other side without touching the ground. We had a couple of moments where we were still building trust with each other but overall we accomplished the challenge with ease by supporting, and helping each other.
A big thank you to the Hulbert Outdoor Center for letting us spend the afternoon doing a bunch of challenging and fun ropes course elements. Without this experience the class wouldn’t be the same as it is today. Throughout the day we learned about our strengths and weaknesses, and what we need to work on as a team to succeed. Some of our weaknesses during these activities included miscommunication, and lack of listening. While are strengths consist of supporting, and participating as a whole team.
With Hulbert guiding us through a dark tunnel we were able to find our own light, come together as a team and make our own low ropes course here at TA.
