Athletics

Athletics are a valuable part of the Thetford Academy experience. Thetford Academy is a Division III school and competes in most sports in the Northern Vermont Athletic Conference as a member of the Capital League.

The Academy’s five principles—excellence, commitment, caring, cooperation, and respect for diversity—serve as the guidelines for all athletics participants. TA Athletics has earned both the Vermont Principals’ Association Good Sportsmanship Award and the Mona Garone Sportsmanship Award.

Interscholastic sports are regulated by the Vermont Principals’ Association. TA students can participate in the following sports: Alpine Skiing, Baseball, Basketball, Bass Fishing, Cross Country, Golf, Indoor Track & Field, Soccer, Softball, and Track & Field.

TA offers a Member to Member program through Hartford High School for any sport not offered above. For more information, please contact Bri Barnes, Athletics and Activities Director.
