Application Process

Interested students who wish to apply to Thetford Academy must complete the following steps to be considered for admission.

Once we receive all of the required documents, we will review your application and contact you with any questions. All applicants are encouraged to submit a complete application by March 1. Applications received after this date will be reviewed on a rolling basis until all spaces have been filled.

Applying to Thetford Academy

NOTE: Students from TA’s partner towns of Thetford and Strafford, VT and LymeNH are required only to complete an Enrollment Form and do not have to complete the application steps below.

All applicants from towns other than TA’s partner towns of Thetford, Strafford, or Lyme must complete a Thetford Academy application. The application form is available online, or, if preferred, to download and print. Alternatively, interested families can contact Molly Dugan-Sullivan, Enrollment Coordinator, to request a hard copy application.

Thetford Academy requires a transcript or school report for the last two years of the applicant’s schooling. We also request standardized testing results from the same time period. Applicants can direct their school administrator to complete the Transcript and School Records Request online or download and print the forms for submission by mail.

Applicants should request a reference from at least one teacher at their current school. This Teacher Reference form is available online or to download and print for submission by mail.

Admissions Visits

We encourage all prospective students to join us on campus to experience all that TA has to offer. Admissions visits are an opportunity for prospective students to tour TA’s campus, visit classes, and learn more about exciting opportunities in athletics, the arts, and in student clubs and activities.

Admissions visits are generally scheduled for a half-day, but full-day visits are available upon request. Call us at 802-785-4805 x202, or email Molly Dugan-Sullivan arrange a time that works for you. We can’t wait to meet you!

COVID-19 Update

In order to keep our school community safe, TA is following all COVID-19 health and safety guidelines.

Single family tours are available by appointment when Thetford Academy students are not on campus. To schedule your tour, please contact Enrollment Coordinator, Molly Dugan-Sullivan.
