September 15, 2022
Friendly reminders:
- If your student is sick, please let the main office or school nurse know what symptoms they are having when you call in.
- If your student has: a fever over 100.0 degrees, vomiting, headache, sore throat, nausea, diarrhea, significant congestion (that’s not allergies), communicable rash (scarlet fever, impetigo) they must stay home.
- The incubation period for Covid is 1-3 days usually, however the Covid rapid tests are showing positive results approximately 1-3 days after the onset of symptoms.
- There is a second virus circulating which has the same symptoms as Covid, so the only way to tell the difference is to test.
- If your child has Covid or illness/injury that keeps them out of school for more than 1-2 days please have your student or yourself be in touch w/ the teachers.
Covid Updates:
- If a student is diagnosed with Covid, they should stay home for five days, returning to school on day six if symptoms are improved and the student has had no fever for 24 hours.
- Covid Cardiac Sports Clearance must be sent to the Health Office by your student’s pediatrician before resuming sports/PE.
- We’ve had an additional 13 cases of Covid this week.
- TA is suggesting the Corinth/Chelsea bus students wear masks & keep the bus windows open; 12 of the students who’ve had Covid ride that bus.
