Cedar Circle After-School Culinary Program for Middle School: May 7 to June 11

Cedar Circle Farm is offering an after school cooking program open to Middle School students. Registration and additional information may be found online.

Scheduled for Tuesday afternoons from May 7 to June 11, this 6-week culinary program session is geared toward a middle school students’ skill set. The lessons take a well-rounded approach to teaching students culinary skills that will develop and expand their love and curiosity for cooking and food.

Inspired by The Great British Bake Off, this session we will be stirring up some sweet and savory baked goods! Our baking challenges will range from scones and crisps to quiches and pizzas, as well as a fruit crisp and our infamous bread pudding.

Students will continue practicing their professional knife skills in the kitchen, and we will be using fresh, seasonal ingredients from the farm whenever possible. There is no need for students to have participated in our previous cooking classes, and no existing knife skills required.
