Vaccine Clinic Updates from the Health Office

The following email update was sent via email to all parents on Friday, August 13 by School Nurse Ellen Gnaedinger and Dean of Students Siobhan Lopez.

Happy Friday, TA Families,

The Vermont Agency of Education sends us information about vaccination clinics, which we are passing along to you. We continue to encourage all of our students and community members to get vaccinated. Along with masking, vaccination is our best defense against illness or an outbreak here at school. We hope that with enough students vaccinated, we will not need to wear masks for long.

Below is clinic information from the AOE. We edited some of the clinics out, as they are so far away, but you can click the link to see the full list, healthvermont.gov/MyVaccine.

Please contact us if you have concerns or questions about vaccinations.

Ellen Gnaedinger, School Nurse

Siobhan Lopez, Dean of Students

Message and list from the Agency of Education:

The best way to keep students safe and healthy – and to ensure a smooth return to full, in person learning – is to make sure they are vaccinated if they are age 12 or older. The vaccines are safe and highly effective at preventing the most serious effects of COVID-19, including against the Delta variant. The sooner your students get a first dose, the sooner they will be closer to full vaccine protection. If you are not seeing a clinic scheduled in your area yet; please be aware that we are working to confirm and schedule additional clinics. We will continue to send an updated list with additional dates as they are confirmed. Vaccine will also be available at pharmacies and other community locations around Vermont.
