TA Alumni Association Gives Back with $10,000 in Grants

Last month, the Thetford Academy Alumni Association (TAAA) met to finalize their annual contribution back to Thetford Academy. Over the course of the year, TAAA’s alumni volunteers hard to raise money for TA: they provide food vending at the Woods Trail Run and the Vermont State Championship cross country event, host the annual Holiday Craft Bazaar, and light a “Memory Tree” in honor of alumni lost, among other fundraising efforts.

Their goal, as alumni, is to enrich the educational experience of current TA students, both in the classroom and through extracurricular opportunities. In 2023, TAAA’s grant supported a wide range of initiatives with significant support for the athletics and the arts, funding for TA’s new Journalism Club, the culinary arts classroom, library, and more. TAAA is also proud to provide a slate of scholarships each spring to graduating seniors for their post-secondary endeavors and to support student events like Founders’ Night.
