Athletics

Athletics are a valuable part of the Thetford Academy experience. Thetford Academy is a Division III school and competes in most sports in the Northern Vermont Athletic Conference as a member of the Capital League.

The Academy’s five principles—excellence, commitment, caring, cooperation, and respect for diversity—serve as the guidelines for all athletics participants. TA Athletics has earned both the Vermont Principals’ Association’s Good Sportsmanship Award and the Mona Garone Sportsmanship Award.

Interscholastic sports are regulated by the Vermont Principals’ Association. TA students can participate in the following team sports: Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Softball, Cross Country, Track and Field, and Alpine Skiing.

For more information, please contact Bri Barnes, Athletics and Activities Director.
