Common Good Capital Campaign

Our Need

Thetford Academy’s community needs a Commons. A flexible, welcoming space that elevates health and wellbeing, showcases student achievement, and brings our community together.

Our Vision

Thetford Academy envisions a new campus hub that engages and welcomes our whole community— our students and faculty, our families, our alumni, neighbors and friends.

3500000

Our Plan

  • Redesigned entrance and lobby area to better serve guests before
and after events in the gym or theater.
  • Gallery space for showcasing the work of student and local artists.
  • Permanent storage space and equipment for event concessions
    and sales.
  • A warm, welcoming space for alumni gatherings and reunions.
  • Flexible seating to accommodate concerts, speakers, conferences,
    and more.
  • New outdoor spaces and seating for family-friendly summer events
    and activities.

Today, we envision a new campus hub that builds on our strengths and better fulfills our obligation to nourish the hearts, minds, and bodies of our students.

Located at the heart of our campus, The Commons is a space
for everyone.

In The Commons, students can connect before athletic practices and games. Faculty can meet to collaborate. The broader community can host and gather for events. And, yes, for the first time, our students will be able to gather for meals in a spacious dining hall served by a kitchen equipped to provide fresh, nutritious food.

Updated flexible seating accommodates 230 students, a 100% increase in seating capacity.

A modern commercial kitchen provides more space for fresh food preparation and storage.

New service area creates efficiencies and streamlines daily food service.

Thetford Academy’s current cafeteria is just 1,780 square feet. The Commons expands this footprint to 3,701 feet, more than doubling its size.
