Mr. TA Pageant: Dec. 9, 7 p.m.

The 7th annual Mr. TA Pageant will take place in the Martha Jane Rich Theater on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. If you are unfamiliar with the Pageant, which originated with Kelly Welsh’s 2011 world history class, it is a beauty pageant spoof that features 12 TA students in choreographed dances showing off their greatest (and sometimes silliest) talents.

Emcee of the event, Mark Weigel, keeps the audience on their toes, and his outfit alone is worth the trip to TA. The purpose of the event is to raise money for education in Rwanda. Over the past six years, TA has sent more than 30 Rwandan kids to high school. To read more about last year’s pageant, click here.

In the short time that Mr. TA has been running at TA, it has been become a favorite of students and community members alike, and this year will not disappoint. Tickets go on sale on Monday, Dec. 4.  Get yours soon; they sell out quickly!
