December Student of the Month: Emma Colby

To her teachers, the December 2019 Student of the Month is known as a hard worker, someone who approaches learning not just with ability, but with a serious commitment to understand and improve in any way she can.
She is not afraid to participate in class discussions and is happy to accept and incorporate coaching to make her already- strong writing, speaking, and other academic skills stronger.
The same holds true outside the classroom. In her debut on the track team, she scored critical points for TA in the high jump, contributing to the girls’ team’s state championship.
Because of all of this, her teachers call her work sophisticated, top notch, and stellar. They are pleased to have her both in their classrooms and in the wider TA community as a whole.
