On Sunday, August 21, 2022, Thetford Academy will host two “back to school” events for students and families.

At 4 p.m., TA invites students new to TA and their families to campus for an informal welcome event. The New Student Welcome is designed to give incoming TA students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with campus before the first day of school. With the support of TA staff and student ambassadors, new students are invited to walk their schedules, locate and test out their lockers, and ask any questions they have about being a student at Thetford Academy.

At 5:00 p.m., all students and families are invited to join the Thetford Academy Parent Association (TAPA) for the Back to School Potluck Picnic. After a two year hiatus, TA and TAPA are excited to resume this annual event celebrating the start of a new school year. The picnic is a great opportunity for students to reconnect and families to spend some relaxed time together.

RSVP and sign up to bring a dish to share (sign-up link). To help ensure a great picnic spread, we ask families with last names A-H to bring a main dish, last names I-P to bring a side dish or salad, and last names Q-Z to bring a dessert. Families are encouraged to bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs. Games like frisbee and corn hole also welcome!
