Senior Madi Mousley Awarded VBCA’s Eric Ward Memorial Scholarship; VT Basketball Coaches Association Names All-Stars

TA senior Madi Mousley was recently awarded the Vermont Basketball Coaches Association’s inaugural Eric Ward Memorial Scholarship for Division III and IV. The scholarship, named in memory of Thetford Academy’s longtime varsity girls basketball Coach Eric Ward, recognizes a “female student athlete who is a team player, displays good sportsmanship, has a positive impact on her team, and has a passion for defense.”
Ward’s sister, Pam Robinson, was excited about the VBCA’s choice of Mousley, noting in a Facebook post “I am thrilled they recognized her fantastic defense, her dedication to her team ,and Madi’s great display of sportsmanship throughout the season.” Coach Ward Eric was on the board of the Vermont Basketball Coaches’ Association and “his legacy as a coach was loving and caring for every player on and off the court, great sportsmanship, camaraderie, and a great influence.”
The Coaches Association also posted its basketball awards for the season, with several TA players earning recognition.
