Head of School Weekly Email: Annual Survey, Day of Giving & Gratitude for Parent Involvement

Dear TA Families,

We have a lot of gratitude for the incredible parent efforts to make Teacher Appreciation Week a special one for all of us who work at TA – the teachers especially, and also the support staff and admin, all of us working together to support students and the school. The food and flowers and notes of appreciation were nourishing for our bodies and souls. Thank you!

This week’s email comes with a couple of more ‘asks’ for parents – and we hope you’ll oblige …

Annual School Climate Survey, May 10-31

Our first big ask is for your feedback on the TA program. Today we launch our annual school climate survey for parents and guardians. This is a robust set of questions designed to be comprehensive in nature – but also not overwhelming for the survey taker. We hope you’ll find it user friendly, and we estimate the average completion time will be about 10 minutes. The survey will be open through the month of May and close on June 1. (Survey link sent to parents via email.)

Day of Giving, May 15

Our second big ask is for your participation in our annual spring fundraising campaign next week. There are many ways to participate:

  1. Invite your networks to become a part of our network! Look for and share campaign promos and interviews on our social media pages (TA Facebook & TA Instagram).
  2. Give! We welcome donations of all levels to support the TA annual fund, an integral part of our budget that helps support the student experience at Thetford Academy.
  3. Help us unlock a $25,000 challenge gift from the Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation! We need 50 alumni donors + 50 community donors to receive the challenge grant. Tap a generous alumni or community member in your life to participate in Day of Giving. (Gifts of any amount can count toward the challenge.)
