Panthers Sliding into Playoff Season in Strong Position

The Panthers have had a great ball season this year, with both the softball and baseball teams shining on the diamond. Panthers baseball is wrapping up its regular season at home tonight (vs. North Country), sending off lone senior Justin Robinson. The team is 10-5 for the season after turning around a three loss streak on Tuesday with their 12-9 win vs. Spaulding on Tuesday. Coach Chaput told the Valley News, “This was a tremendous team effort today. We rebounded after a tough week to beat a quality Spaulding team. JD pitched well in the final three innings to close the door.” The Panthers start playoffs ranked first in Division III next week and will be looking to retain their championship title.

TA’s softball team is also having a great season, with a 9-5 record and ranked third in Division III. The Panthers have been on a roll, decisively winning four out of their last five games. The team has been working hard, says Coach Michelle Morgan, “We are so proud of their progress.” The girls will also take on North Country tonight in their final home game of the season before heading into the playoffs next week. Let’s go Panthers!
