Head of School Weekly Email: Student and Parent Surveys, Reopening Handbook, Digital Learning Deadline
October 03, 2020
Dear TA Families and Students,Today marks the end of week 4 of the new school year. I want to pause at this important milestone and take a moment to give an enormous public THANKS to our incredible TA staff, who are working incredibly hard to make this school year possible!
As we transition into October, I have some requests to make of you this weekend:
1. Please take a stakeholder survey on your ‘month 1’ experience. We really appreciate your feedback and input. Survey deadline: Tuesday, October 6. [Links to the parent and student surveys were included in the original email, sent out at 5pm on October 2.]
2. Please review the Fall Reopening Handbook, recently revised as of October 1. The handbook was originally issued in August as a way to prepare for the new year and help families make decisions about their schooling experience. The document continues to be a useful reference as we go through the fall semester, providing guidance on a wide range of topics such as attendance, health and safety issues, and the academic schedule.
3. Every student is required to submit a responsible use agreement form as part of our digital learning requirements. The extended deadline was October 1; however, we are still missing the forms from a number of students. If your family has not yet completed this requirement, we urge you to do it this weekend. Takes 15 minutes max. Let’s get to 100% participation by Monday! Link here to the new digital learning resources page for families and the responsible use agreement.
I realize there is a bit of weekend homework here for everyone – students and parents alike. We really need your participation and engagement to do our best work. Thank you, in advance, for making time to connect and collaborate with us!
