Back-to-School Letter from Head of School

The following letter accompanied the back-to-school mailing, sent to families in mid-August.

Dear Students and Families,

Summer Greetings from Thetford Academy!

That slight chill in the air some mornings now reminds us of the turn of seasons – which means the start of school is around the corner. While we continue to enjoy the beauty of late summer days (especially the sunny ones!), we know it’s also time to begin thinking ahead to the new year.

This back-to-school mailing includes a lot of important information to help your family begin to prepare for the school year – and a few forms that we need back from you to help with our preparations. Also, some steps in the annual registration process must be completed online, through our student information system Web2School. Start with the mailing guide (on yellow), to help you navigate everything in the mailing and required next steps. Please reach out to Office Administrator Gloria Konicki if you have questions or need support: [email protected], (802) 785-4805 x201.

Thetford Academy’s first day is Wednesday, August 30. I am looking forward to the new school year with hope and excitement; the challenges of the pandemic are finally in the rearview mirror and I see lots of opportunity ahead for all of us to strive and thrive.

With our TA mission clearly in focus – to celebrate the unique worth of all students, to nurture their strengths, and to challenge them to fulfill their potential – let’s make 2023-2024 a great year!

Sincerely,

Carrie Brennan, Head of School
