TA’s Woods Trail Run Returns on Oct. 5, Volunteers Needed
September 17, 2024
The event, founded by TA parent and former board member Dan Grossman, is well known for many things: great music, great food (shout out to the Thetford Academy Alumni Association), great energy, and great people.
Of course, the Woods Trail Run is also known for its scenic 5K course, the Dan Grossman Woods Trail, designed by former Olympic biathlete John Morton. The course winds through TA’s 295-acre forested campus, challenging even the most accomplished runners with hills like the aptly named “Morty’s Monster.”
For the Thetford community, the event is an annual gathering of neighbors and a reunion of friends. The volunteer roster is long and includes veterans that have served the event for years – and for some, decades. This year, we ask for your help to make this iconic race a success. Interested in being a part of this special event? Contact TA’s athletic director Bri Barnes to volunteer. We hope to see you on October 5!
