Head of School Weekly Email: Parent Survey, 26-27 Calendar, Course Registration & More

Dear TA Families,

As is true so many Saturdays throughout the school year, we have students giving their all today, competing and performing in a variety of venues – on the track, on stage, and on the ball field. Best of luck to our high school track and field athletes, the cast and crew of Cabaret, and the JV baseball team. We know you’ll shine!

I want to share a few key resources as we move into the final month of this school year and start to look ahead to the next one.

Looking ahead to next year …

  •  Course registration for next year is underway. The counseling department met with current juniors and sophomores this past week and will meet with current 9th graders on Tuesday. We encourage parents to work with their students on reviewing options and considering future plans. Look for emails from Counseling Team Coordinator Tippi Oshoniyi ([email protected]) for relevant info, deadlines, links, and documents.
  •  The 2026-27 school calendar is finalizedLINK.

Reflecting on this school year …

  •  Today we launch our annual school climate survey for parents and guardians. Help us increase our participation rate this year – our goal is a minimum of 35%, so that means 115 survey takers. Can you be one? The average completion time is about 10 minutes. The survey will be open for one month, closing on June 16: LINK to 2026 parent/guardian survey. (We have another parallel survey for students, so this link is for parents only.) We appreciate your reflections and feedback on the Thetford Academy program and experience!

Photos this week: As the Class of 2026 moves through their many milestones toward graduation, we had another day of portfolio roundtable presentations. It was wonderful to welcome parents and grandparents to campus to be a part of the experience. Congrats to all of this week’s senior presenters, with a few featured here: Darrell Duprey, Maggie Mikowitz, Charlotte Arendell, and Logan Kuban.

Wishing everyone a couple of sunny days this weekend (at long last)!

Carrie Brennan, Head of School
