As students prepare for graduation, TA’s Counseling Office works closely with each student to help them achieve their post-secondary goals. Whether a student’s interest is in two- or four-year colleges, the armed services, or interim/gap year programs, TA’s counselors are prepared to support students and families every step of the way.

Career & Technical Programs
Eligibility and Credits
TA juniors and seniors are eligible to apply for admission to all programs at River Bend Career and Technical Center or some programs at HACTC. Most courses are offered in a two-year sequence, with advanced work and specialization offered in the second year of study. Three credits are granted for successful completion of a one-year technical program.
All two-year programs offer one program-specific embedded credit toward graduation requirements in English, Science, Math, Art, or Social Studies. Upon successful completion of both years of a career program, students are eligible for six credits—five elective credits and one in the embedded academic area.
River Bend Career & Technical Center
Located centrally on the Upper Plain in Bradford, VT, adjacent to the Oxbow High School campus, River Bend’s facility includes a state-of-the-art automotive garage, sugaring house, heavy equipment training sites and shop, a complete building trades workshop, and an outstanding commercial kitchen with its own restaurant. The center offers a wide variety of programs in industry and design, and offers industry-recognized credentials, college credit, and official certification in many programs.
