Thetford Academy Graduates Class of 2018
June 15, 2018
Our 2017-18 school year came to a close on Friday, June 8, with Graduation exercises, accompanied by beautiful weather, moving student speeches, well-deserved senior awards, hundreds of proud family members, and 67 boisterous seniors delighted to receive their TA diploma.
Keeping in tradition with past Thetford Academy commencement exercises, the graduation was student-led, with speeches and performances given only by members of the Class of 2018. Senior class president Hallie Zens opened the ceremony with a welcome speech reminiscing about her and her classmates’ time as a TA student. The audience, filling the front lawn of Thetford Academy, also heard from Megan Graber, Hannah Davis, Meagan Balch, and Leah Kaliski. The student portion of the of event concluded with a musical performance from many members of the class, with instrumental accompaniment by Greg Melliger and Jennifer Yocom.
As the sun set on an idyllic Vermont spring evening, the 67 most senior members of the TA student body received their diplomas and entered the ranks of Thetford Academy alumni. We congratulate each member of the class, and wish them all the best in the future.
