Annual Instrumental and Choral Concert: Jan. 4 – POSTPONED

The Instrumental and Choral Concert, rescheduled for Thursday, Jan. 4, at 6:30 p.m., has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Stay tuned for information on the rescheduling of this event.

From previous post:

There will be over 60 student musicians performing a variety of music encompassing a broad variety of musical styles and eras. The chorus program, directed by Jennifer Yocom, will include a French dance piece, “Mambo Italiano,” a beautiful winter song with words by Sara Teasdale, the traditional Hallelujah Chorus, a holiday song from “Peanuts,” and more.

Patricia Norton is accompanying the chorus on piano.  Tom Norton will play clarinet with the 7th graders in “Gonna Get Through This World.”

The band, directed by Greg Mellinger, will be performing selections from The Nutcracker Suite, Paul Simon’s  “Sound Of Silence,” Tito Puente’s “Oye Como Va,” “Carol Of The Bells,” and a blazing version of the Hawaii Five-O theme song.  There will be several featured soloists featured throughout the evening as well.

Please join us for a wonderful evening of music.
