Fall Sports Awards 2018

Thetford Academy celebrated its soccer and cross country athletes at the Fall Sports Banquet on Wednesday, Nov. 7. All teams had a strong season, marked by standout performances, tough match-ups, dramatic OT wins, personal records, and as always, a whole lot of Panther pride.
The boys cross country team was honored for earning the Division III state title and taking first place in the MVL A Division. Three members of the boys team also earned a place in the MVL All-Stars: Owen Deffner ’19, Eamon Deffner ’20, and Bel Spelman ’19.
The varsity girls soccer team celebrated their second year in a row winning the Division III State Championship. Players Kiana Johnson ’19, Casey MacVeagh ’20, and Grace Davis ’19 earned a place on the All State team, and Madi Powers ’22, Emma Berard ’21, Abby Berard ’19, Ellen Veracka ’20, Kiana Johnson ’19, Casey MacVeagh ’20, Lily Brown ’19, and Arwen Clayton ’20, were named to the All Capital League. The girls’ coach Dave Williams was named Coach of the Year by the Capital League.
On the boys varsity team, Aiden Cudhea ’19 and Jake Colby ’19 were named to the All Capital League team.
