Last spring was a big hiring season, as we geared up to say goodbye to five retirees and two teachers on leave - and, fortunately, it was a very successful hiring season as well!  We are pleased to introduce the new faculty faces on campus this fall. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and guardians to meet their student’s teachers, visit classrooms, and learn more about the classes, programs, and experiences that make up life at Thetford Academy. The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with Advisory, followed by an abbreviated school-day schedule. Thetford Academy's Disc Golf team took home the title in Vermont's inaugural High School Disc Golf Championship this weekend. The event, hosted by Disc Golf Vermont at Smuggler's Notch Resort, was one of the first high school events in the country and part of a growing movement to get disc golf sanctioned as a varsity sport by the Vermont Principal Association. At Smuggler's Notch, TA's seven club players competed against nine other Vermont schools with "quality sportsmanship," according to coach Scott Ellis.
