Mailing Home – Letter from Head of School

A mailing was sent home on Friday, March 20 to all TA households. Below is the text of the cover letter from Head of School Carrie Brennan …

Dear Thetford Academy Parents, Guardians, and Families,

I am reaching out the old-fashioned way to check in, say hello, and share resources. I hope you are well and finding ways to adapt during this public health crisis that has impacted all of our lives.

The enclosed documents are designed to help those of you who find paper documents handy and are intended especially for the adults in your household or family network who might be less tech-savvy or less tech-connected, so that they can better understand what students are doing for schoolwork while the physical campus is closed. All of the information in this letter and the enclosed documents can be found on the TA website. Visit the Remote TA page: www.thetfordacademy.org/remote-ta.

To support students and families during this time of school dismissal, Thetford Academy is providing the following:

  • Remote learning in all classes for all students.
  • Daily bag lunch available for all students and siblings.
  • Parking lot wifi available 24-7; use the network ‘Remote-TA’.
  • Use of the TA Library for 1-2 hours at a time; sign up is required.

All buildings on our campus are locked at this time. The front office will continue to be staffed from 8am-3pm daily on weekdays. To request admittance, call the front desk: 785-4805 x0. Also, please call the front office to ask us about any of the information in this letter or request support.

Sincerely,

Carrie Brennan, Head of School
