TA Alpine Ski Team Kicks Off Season at Bromley

TA’s ski team launched the alpine racing season at Bromley Mountain last Thursday. TA sent its largest team recent history, entering five girls and 12 boys in the panel slalom event. Despite just two short days of on-snow practice and many skiers new to racing, the team had a successful day with lots of smiles, laughs, and victories big and small.

The Thetford girls finished in fourth place out of five teams, and the boys finished third out of six teams. The top three finishers for the girls were Maya Dixon, Bianca Pulaski, and Alicja Perdrizet. For the boys, the top four finishers were Harland Ransom, Isaac Yukica, Ben Acker, and Oliver Yukica.

After the race, the team spent a few hours exploring the mountain together. The ski team, led by coaches Paul Dixon and Amy Huyffer, will compete again this Thursday at Suicide Six.
