Athletics News: TA Welcomes Bri Barnes as New AD

TA is pleased to welcome Brianne (Bri) Barnes to the team as Thetford Academy’s new Director of Athletics and Activities. Bri brings a wealth of experience to the position, most recently serving as the Director of Athletic Programs for Hanover, NH’s Parks and Recreation department and at Oxbow High School as Director of Athletics and Activities.

Bri’s experience in and enthusiasm for youth athletics is an asset to Thetford Academy’s program. “I am incredibly excited to be joining Thetford Academy’s outstanding athletic department, filled with great tradition and history. I am looking forward to meeting everyone on campus and being part of this exceptional institution,” she shared. Bri is a Thetford resident and looks forward to making more connections in the community as Director of Athletics and Activities.

More athletics news:

  • TA has hired Bob Bristol, who comes to TA with more than 30 years of coaching experience in Washington state, as head coach for the boy’s soccer team. Bob has already begun coaching at summer kickarounds, and is looking forward to the season starting on August 17.
  • Jolene Cadwell has been hired as the girls’ varsity basketball coach. Jolene has been part of the basketball program at TA for many years, as a player, assistant, and coach.  
  • We continue to recruit applicants for the following coaching positions: middle school soccer, boys JV soccer, girls varsity assistant soccer, girls JV basketball, and girls varsity basketball assistant coach. Learn more and apply on TA’s employment page.
