Indigenous Land Acknowledgment: A Community Conversation at TA

**UPDATE: Due to the upcoming winter storm, this event has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 3:30-5pm.**

Next week, Thetford Academy will host the second of three “community conversations” on the topic of indigenous land acknowledgment. We are excited to welcome Nathan Pero, Thetford resident and Chief of the Koasek band of Abenaki, who will lead the conversation and Q&A session.

Attendees will learn about the ongoing conversation about land acknowledgment and fostering constructive connections with the Abenaki community and explore actionable strategies for enhancing awareness of Abenaki history, culture, and contemporary challenges among our community members, students, educators, and peers.
