TA Drama Presents Free Children’s Theatre Festival This Weekend

On Saturday, June 1 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., the students of Thetford Academy’s One Act Play class will present the Thetford Children’s Theatre Festival. The event is free of charge. Students in the TA One Act Play class will perform “staged readings” of short plays that have been adapted from children’s books.  In addition to the staged readings, there will be crafts and theater games all facilitated by the students in the One Act class. 

Staged Readings of the following plays will be performed:  

Interrupting Chicken by David Ezra Stein adapted by Preston Perkins

The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein adapted by Ramona Spelman

Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson adapted by Hanae Debo

Clementine by Sara Pennypacker  adapted by Natalie Lewis 

There’s a Hair in My Dirt! A Worm’s Story by Gary Larson adapted by Grace Brown 

Corduroy by Dan Freeman adapted by Hugo Billiau 

I Want My Hat Back and This Is Not My Hat by Jon Klassen adapted by Piper Leibon
