Head of School Weekly Email: Performing Arts Shows, Winter Sports & Alma Reminder

Dear TA Families,

Three topics to turn your attention to this week:

👉 Come out to support the performing arts at Thetford Academy and celebrate student creativity and talent! 🎶 🎭

  • The fall play drama class presents ‘The Crucible’ next weekend. There are four performances, Nov. 22-24, with lead roles played by two different casts. Get show details, cast lists, and the ticket link on the TA website.
  • Save the date for our annual winter concert on December 11. The high school instrumental music classes and middle school chorus classes (Q1 & Q2) come together for a festive evening of song. The community is welcome and admission is free.
  • All shows take place in the Martha Jane Rich Theater at Thetford Academy. Event contacts: [email protected] and [email protected]

👉 Sign up now for the winter sports season! 🏀 🎿

  • Girls and boys basketball at the MS, JV, and V levels
  • Alpine skiing at the MS and HS levels
  • Indoor track (HS only)
  • Registration deadline is Nov. 30 and practices begin the weeks of Dec. 2 and 9. Program contact: [email protected]

👉 Please complete your student records review in Alma!

  • We still have about 80 families that haven’t completed the records review process in Alma this fall. If this includes you, you received an email earlier today from Gloria.
  • Log in, get started, do it this weekend! You’ll feel better when it’s done and so will we. thetfordacademy.getalma.com
  • Help us get to 100% completion with this important task. Office Administrator Gloria Konicki is here to help: [email protected].
  • Also: We are looking forward to going live with the graduation tracking component of Alma on Nov. 20. This will be especially relevant for students in grades 10-12 who will be able to access their prior high school credit information. More details to come.

Thank you,

Carrie Brennan, Head of School
