Music Makes the World a Better Place! Join Us on Dec 11 for Thetford Academy’s Winter Concert

Thetford Academy’s music department is excited to share some joy with you! On Wednesday, December 11, at 6:30 p.m., our instrumental musicians, stage band, and middle school chorus will showcase their talents in our annual Winter Concert.
Chorus students will perform an eclectic concert of classic pop, musical theater, contemporary choral and traditional standard music selections. Focusing on learning how to read and interpret music from sheet music to performance, the students have been working on these song selections to become more confident singers individually and as an ensemble of singers. The winter concert represents their culminating performance project.
Thetford Academy’s Stage Band is excited to share a mix of jazz, funk, R & B, and rock, including songs from Yes, Aretha Franklin, Herbie Hancock, and Led Zeppelin. Instrumental music students will also perform, playing hits from AC/DC, Bill Withers, and Gloria Gaynor, and more.
This year, attendees can support students traveling to Paris and Barcelona this spring, who will be selling crepes and cookies for a suggested donation of $3. We hope you’ll join us for this free and fun event next week!
