Celebrating the Class of 2025 – Baccalaureate, Class Day, and Graduation

Thetford Academy’s Class of 2025 is winding down their high school career with a series of milestones and celebrations – baccalaureate, final exams, class day, and finally, graduation.

Graduation week started Sunday with TA’s traditional baccalaureate ceremony, featuring student speeches from graduating seniors Ethan Roy and Caleb Crossett, and a musical presentation from Halogenica, a student choral ensemble. Retiring Science teacher Gary Engler, who has taught at TA for more than 20 years, was selected by students to make the baccalaureate address.

On Friday, June 13, Thetford Academy will celebrate Class Day and the school’s 206th commencement. The 66 members of the Class of 2025 start their graduation day in the gym alongside the whole school community. The morning’s program features underclassmen awards and honors, a stage band performance, and the seniors’ presentation of their “Last Will and Testament” and senior slideshow.

Weather permitting, the festivities will move outside for senior awards and scholarships, many of which have been awarded to TA graduates for generations. Carrie Brennan, Head of School, will share remarks before the ceremony closes with a choral performance of the alma mater, “Thetford, We Revere Thee.” Parents and community members are welcome to join Class Day.

Friday evening, graduation ceremonies begin at 6:30 on the front lawn of the White Building. Per TA tradition, the ceremony will feature solely student remarks and musical presentations.

Schedule:

  • Awards Assembly for Grades 7–11, 8:30 a.m.
  • Senior Class Day, 9:45 a.m. (senior families invited to attend)
  • Graduation Ceremony 6:30 p.m. Link to Program
