The holiday craft bazaar is back! After a two year pandemic pause, the Thetford Academy Alumni Association will again host its popular holiday craft showcase on Saturday, November 19, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Longtime organizer Jessica Eaton ’81, who has successfully managed the community event for years, this year passed the torch to TA alums Tegan and Randy Snelling ’14. With Jessica’s years of experience and Tegan and Randy’s ambition and enthusiasm, the event is looking like it will be another epic gathering of the area’s most talented crafters.

According to the event description on Facebook, more than 60 vendors have already signed up for this year’s bazaar. TA’s Culinary Arts program will be raising money for the Thetford Food Shelf as part of the Empty Bowls project, selling hand-painted bowls with their delicious homemade soup and bread. Chris Schmidt, TA’s design technology teacher, will also be back with his fine woodworking and raku-fired ceramics. From 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., free horse-drawn wagon rides will be available outside the Vaughan Alumni Gym.

All of this, plus hot lunch, coffee, and snacks–including wood-fired pizza by TA’s senior class–makes this a don’t-miss community event.
