Thetford Academy’s Summer Concert Series “Schoolhouse Rocks” is Back for Another Year!

Join TA this summer for music, fun, and food!

Thetford Academy is excited to announce a reprisal of our summer concert series, “Schoolhouse Rocks” for a second season. The series opens with the Burlington, VT based bluegrass band “Good Gravy” on Sunday, June 23 at 6 p.m. The trio (Joe Agnello, Jeff Wilson, and Jack Vignone) pay homage to bluegrass legends such as Tony Rice, Norman Blake, and Doc Watson. With great music and food Tug Mountain Pizza, the concert series opener will be fun for the whole family.

Next up on Thursday, July 18, at 6:00 p.m. Thetford Academy is excited to welcome Vermont-based guitarist and vocalist Zach Nugent of “Zach Nugent’s Dead Set” performing with his longtime collaborator Daniel Marc. The duo will perform music from the Jerry Garcia Band and The Grateful Dead, as well as original music from their own catalog.

Closing out the series on August 10 at 6 p.m., the Western Terrestrials will bring their hard-driving take on country music. Fronted by Thetford Academy alum Nick Charyk ’04, the Western Terrestrials conjure up “sweeping panoramas of dusty astral plains and the allure of whiskey-laden honky tonks, Western Terrestrials are the kind of wry, unconventional outsiders country music could get used to.” Food provided by Tug Mountain Pizza.
