New Student Welcome and Back to School Picnic

Thetford Academy is looking forward to hosting students and families for two community events on Sunday, August 23: a new student welcome and TA’s annual back to school picnic.
Beginning at 4:00 p.m., TA invites all new, incoming students to campus for a fun opportunity to get ready for the first day of school. New students will learn to navigate TA’s campus and classrooms, have time to walk their schedule, meet classmates and teachers, and get all of those first-day-of-school questions answered.
At 5:00 p.m., we’ll kick off new school year with TA’s annual back to school picnic. We invite all students – both new and returning – and their families to join us at this potluck event. Catch up with teachers, classmates, and community members while enjoying delicious food and the beautiful views from TA’s campus.
What to Bring:
For your comfort and enjoyment, feel free to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs, sunscreen, bug spray, and lawn games. The potluck meal is organized by family last name:
- A – H: Bring a dessert
- I – P: Bring a main dish
- Q – Z: Bring a salad or side dish
