Congratulations and welcome to our fantastic cohort of teachers joining the TA team. The group includes five classroom teachers in the science, English, math, and world languages departments, along with three new special educators, with a balance of early career, mid career, and veteran educators. Tiffany Badams is joining the special education department. She is a veteran teacher with a background in both business education and special education. Thetford Academy is looking forward to hosting students and families for two community events on August 27: a new student welcome and TA's annual back to school picnic. Beginning at 4:00 p.m., TA invites all new, incoming students to campus for a fun opportunity to get comfortable before the first day of school. New students will learn to navigate TA's campus and classrooms, walk their schedule, meet classmates and teachers, and get first-day-of-school questions answered. The energetic local 90's tribute band Lazer Dad takes the stage tonight for the final installment of Thetford Academy's "Schoolhouse Rocks" summer concert series. Long-time teacher Joe Deffner was honored with the 2023 Peters Family Dedicated Employee Award at the end-of-year ceremonies in June.
