Thetford Academy Students Honored at River Bend Career and Technical Center

On Wednesday, March 30, 2022, the Riverbend Career and Technical Center hosted its annual induction ceremony for the National Technical Honor Society. This year, three TA students earned membership in NHTS, “an educational non-profit that exists to honor, recognize, and empower students and teachers in Career & Technical Education.” Congratulations to Noah Abernethy, studying Construction Technology; Ariana Cooney, studying Health Science; and Natalia Gioia, studying Automotive Technology; for their academic achievements.
The event, which was the first in-person NHTS ceremony in two years, featured keynote speaker Brian Emerson, director of the Riverbend Career and Technical Center. Thetford Academy partners with both RBCTC and with the Hartford Area Career and Technology Center to provide a wide range of technical education opportunities to interested students. Most courses are offered in a two-year sequence, with advanced work and specialization offered in the second year of study.
