Class of 1972 Celebrates 50th Reunion (with photos!)

The Class of 1972 gathered on Saturday, July 16 at the Thompson Hill Campground in East Corinth for their 50th Thetford Academy reunion. Alum Jeanie Hayes, one of the organizers of the event, shared that “it was an absolutely wonderful afternoon of good weather, great food, lots of laughter, reminiscing, and GREAT company!” Fifteen of the 38 class members attended:

Also in attendance were former classmates: Gloria (Lund) Durkee and Robert Holmes. Jeanie wrote, “Before the frivolity commenced, a moment of silence was held for graduate, Douglas Dresser, who passed away in 2020.”
The Class of 1972 would like to extend a VERY special thanks to: Fred Emerson (Linda Clogston Emerson’s husband) for bringing the Karaoke equipment and providing music and Bruce Durkee ( ’71) for putting up and taking down tents (and losing a tent to a rogue gust of wind!), putting up our class banner, Cooking the hamburgers and hotdogs, for the use of his golf cart and more!
