Thetford Outdoor Program Outings Scheduled for Fall

The Thetford Outdoor Program will lead a series of outings for students this fall, starting with an overnight canoe camping and service trip on the Connecticut River during Labor Day weekend, September 2-4. Students will canoe to Gilman Island (near Hanover/Norwich) and work with the Connecticut River Paddlers’ Trail Alliance and Great River Hydro to maintain and improve the island’s group campsite. Interested students can sign up online or via registration forms that will be sent home next week.

Other planned outings include:

  • Rock Climbing, South Royalton, Sept 24
  • Hiking, Cardigan Mountain, Oct 10
  • GLOW (Girls, Ladies, or Whoever) overnight, Thetford Academy Yurt, Date TBD
