Mountain Day!
Yesterday the whole school ventured out to six trailheads in our region, stretching from Mt. Moosilauke in the north to Mt. Ascutney in the south, carrying on TA’s Mountain Day tradition, first started in 1979. It was a beautiful day to enjoy autumn beauty and connect as a community. The hikes aren’t easy, and we hope everyone felt inspired by the experience and the challenge. Sharing a few photos (attached) of our youngest and oldest hikers – the Class of 2030 on Mt. Cube and the Class of 2025 on Mt. Moosilauke. Look for more next week as we gather them from trip leaders.
College Information Night on 9/26
On Thursday 9/26 the Counseling Department will host a virtual session about the college application process. The event is geared toward families in the Class of 2025. Seniors and their parents/guardians who are considering college in their future are encouraged to attend. Learn about resources, timelines, and tips for navigating college research, the application process, and financial aid and scholarships. Event contact: [email protected].
Congratulations are in order!
Two standout members of the TA robotics team, Duncan MacPhee ’27 and Connor Kutter-Walker ’26, competed at a high-level VEX robotics competition in Maine last week, going up against teams from around the U.S. and Canada. They had an impressive day, with their team earning a 10-1 record, a judge’s award for programming excellence, and placing second place overall. Congratulations, Duncan and Connor!
Busy day for TA athletics …
Speaking of competitions, panther athletes are competing around the state(s) today and we wish them well! The high school cross country team headed south early this morning to a meet in Manchester, NH. The bass fishing team is venturing north to Lake Champlain, and the boys varsity soccer team is up against Lake Region here at home. Special dates in early October:

- Students have a 4-day weekend, Oct. 11-14. School is closed for Faculty Inservice on 10/11 and Indigenous Peoples’ Day on 11/14.
