Head of School Weekly Email: Happy Valentine’s Day!
February 14, 2025

Dear TA Families,
On the list of things we love at TA …
- Founders’ Day! Check out the recap of the day on our website, which includes a link to a trove of fun photos from Monday. Founders’ Day is an awesome annual event that celebrates our love of community.
- February Break! School will not be in session the week of Feb. 24-28. The Friday before break (2/21) marks the mid-quarter point and students hopefully are in the groove of their 3rd quarter studies. (Resource reminder: the calendar page on the TA website.)
- Snow! (and snow days sometimes, too)! After a cold but relatively dry start to the winter, we’ve had a couple of snow days lately. Our hope is that the roads will be ready for school on Monday morning, following the forecasted storm. As always, we will aim to communicate by 6am if there is any impact on the day.
- Our Seniors! The seniors always play a special role in a school, and the Class of 2025 is no exception. This afternoon the faculty came together to review senior portfolios, one of many steps this semester in moving toward the big date of graduation on June 13. One thing my review group loved about the process was how strongly the unique nature of each senior came through in each of the four portfolios that we read.
Speaking of this afternoon, another thing we appreciate at TA is time set aside in the school calendar for the adults to meet, learn, and work collaboratively. We know that PD half-days (like today) and inservice days can be a challenge for families and we thank you for understanding this need.
Happy Valentine’s Day,
Carrie Brennan, Head of School
