Dear TA Families,

Happy May! We came back from break to find the daffodils in bloom, the lunch tents back up, and afternoon temps in the 60s. Spring has arrived on the TA campus!

Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6-10

We would love parent support in showering our TA team of educators with gratitude and good food next week. Here are two ways to participate in Teacher Appreciation Week:

•  💙 Share a note of appreciation for an individual teacher or staff member or for our faculty in general. Fill out this form and we will be sure to deliver your messages. (Students are invited to fill out the form, too.)
•  💙 Volunteer to contribute food, flowers, or help with set up. Sign up here to be a part of the staff meals planned for each day next week.

May 10: ODW Service Day & Honors Celebration Dinner

The TA community will carry on the annual tradition of Operation Day’s Work next Friday. ODW is an international youth-led, service-learning program that raises funds for children’s causes in the developing world. TA student crews will spend the day in the community offering their labor to participating ’employers’ and raising funds for this year’s selected international nonprofit. Students and parents need to fill out the ODW Day permission form.

Also on Friday, May 10, is the Honors Celebration at 6pm in the Vaughan Alumni Gymnasium. This is an annual dinner event that recognizes consistent outstanding academic achievement over the course of the year. Students who qualified (and their families) received an invitation and details last month.

Final Stretch of the School Year

Believe it or not, May 9 marks the mid-way point of Quarter 4. The final six weeks of the school year will be intensely busy, with lots of activity in all areas: academic classes, athletic competitions, arts performances, and special year-end activities. Connect with your student at home to plan ahead and mark family calendars.

• Speaking of the Class of 2024 – Seniors and their families received the Senior Spring Letter before break (mailed home April 15). Please review and reach out if you have any questions.

Cheer On Panther Athletes – Today! 

Come out to root for our varsity softball and baseball teams – home games at 11 against Blue Mountain. And best of luck to our high school track athletes, who head to South Burlington High School to compete against athletes from around Vermont in the big Twilight Meet.
