Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Soccer team on their 3-1 victory over Green Mountain last Saturday, Nov. 4, to bring home the 2017 Division III State Title, the first for the girls soccer program in 23 years! The Panthers took control early on, with a goal from senior Brooke Horniak, assisted by Ellen Veracka, less than 2 minutes into the match. The scored remained 1-0 through the rest of the first half, despite strong pressure on the Green Mountain defense by TA, including a couple attempts that missed by only inches. TA Alumni, Did you play basketball while you were at TA? Would you put on the Panther uniform again for old times sake? Will you be in Thetford for Thanksgiving? If you said yes to any of these questions, then WE NEED YOU! We will be hosting the 1st annual TA Alumni Basketball event on Saturday, Nov. 25 (the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend) and we want you to join us. Thetford Academy robotics teams 4886B and 4886C travelled to North Conway, NH, on Saturday, Nov. 4, to face 29 other teams from eight  schools. Team 4886C, with senior Clay Goodling (who joined our team last spring) and third year competitor, 9th grader Alex Holzer, finished first in the qualifying rounds with the best record of the day; Clay and Alex were team captains and first seed in the elimination rounds. Team 4886B, with 8th grader Tate Whiteberg and 7th grader Isaiah Kol finished in the top ten and were team captains for the fifth seed out of the eight alliances moving forward...

A Parent Orientation for OWL (Our Whole Lives) will take place on Sunday, Nov. 5, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Thetford Hill Church. Dec. 2 Update:   Poinsettias will be delivered on Friday and Saturday, Dec. 8-9. If you purchased one (or several) to support TA panthers traveling to France this April, stop by the Art Room on Friday from 3 to 7 p.m., or Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m., to pick yours up. Merci!
