Thetford Academy Performing Arts Winter Concert (Date Change: Dec. 17)

Celebrate the season with Thetford Academy at our annual Winter Concert, a fun and funky showcase of our students’ instrumental and choral talent.

This Wednesday, December 10 at 6:30 p.m., the middle school chorus, high school chorus, instrumental classes, and the Thetford Academy Stage Band will come together in the Martha Jane Rich Theater to share what they’ve learned over the course of the semester and spread some seasonal joy.

The evening begins with the middle school chorus presenting a vibrant blend of classic pop, musical theater, contemporary choral pieces, and timeless standards. Students have been learning to read, interpret, and bring music to life, and are excited to share the result. They’ll be joined by the high school chorus club for a special collaborative piece, followed by the club’s festive pop holiday tune and a reflective choral work.

Next up, TA’s instrumental group takes the stage with an energetic set featuring an array of genres from R&B to country to heavy metal. The Stage Band will close the evening, grooving through their repertoire of funk, rock, and jazz tunes. The Winter Concert is free and open to the public – hope to see you there!

NOTE for families: The doors to the public will open approximately 15 minutes before the concert begins at 6:30. The middle school portion lasts about 30 minutes, with a break before the rest of the program to allow those who need to, to transition out before the rest of the program.
