Dear TA Families, I am writing to share information on a couple of opportunities coming up this month. 1. Parent Focus Groups In addition to sending out another round of stakeholder surveys later this month to students, parents and TA staff to get feedback on the Fall 2020 program and input for future planning, I will also be convening focus groups for each of these key groups. Cross Country runners Tobin Durham '22 (pictured in header photo running with Abby Egner '23) and Madelyn Durkee '23 were recently named to the All SVL (Southern Vermont League) League list. Thetford Academy Drama introduces its first-ever virtual fall play, the murder mystery "Sorry, Wrong Number." Performed entirely on Google Meet, with post-production support from TA alum and CATV Studio Producer & Education Outreach Coordinator Chico Eastridge, Fall Play students have created something entirely new for their virtual audience. Based on the critically acclaimed radio play by Lucille Fletcher, "Sorry, Wrong Number" first premiered in 1943. A version produced for the CBS radio series "Suspense" received an Edgar Award for Best Radio Drama. Each year before the Thanksgiving break, Thetford Academy has a tradition of lining the halls with gratitude. And though it's been an unusual and often difficult year, we were glad to be able to keep this important tradition of "thankful cards" going. Dear TA Families & Students, We have an important milestone to take note of today. We made it to Thanksgiving with no cases of COVID and no school closure days. We have had a healthy and productive three months together, with our campus open to students four days of the week. I know that we are all missing so much right now - in our lives and at TA. We are pleased to announce that the Vermont Drinking Water & Groundwater Protection Division has lifted the "Do Not Drink" order at Thetford Academy, and our water is again safe for consumption. John Brown, Director of Buildings & Grounds shared the following official notification with employees on Friday, November 20.
