Carrie Brennan arrived on campus last week for her first days as Thetford Academy’s new head of school. The TA community has been looking forward to her arrival. Formerly the executive director at CITY Center for Collaborative Learning in Tucson, AZ, Carrie brings many years of experience in educational and community leadership to her new position. Summer Activities Athletic practices and scrimmages are available for students during the summer months. The general schedule is as follows: Girls Soccer:  Wednesdays 4:30 to 6 p.m. Those interested should email Coach MacVeagh. Despite ongoing weather issues causing delays and reschedules, Panthers baseball had an impressive 9-4-0 year, finishing with the first winning season in a decade and ending the regular season in 4th place for D-III. Highlights included a number of solid wins against D-II foes and an early May upset of previously-undefeated Oxbow. The team’s postseason play was equally impressive, as the Panthers reached the semifinals for the first time since 2002, before ultimately falling to undefeated WRVHS in a hard-fought game.
