75th Annual Founders' Day! On Friday, Feb. 2, Thetford Academy celebrated its 199th birthday with the 75th annual Founders’ Day celebration! This year's theme was animated movies; each class chose an animated movie for their class to represent. Students displayed their individual talents and creativity by preparing skits, building floats, decorating cakes, making costumes, and designing banners that incorporated the specific movie as well as earned points for their class. The Upper Valley Trails Alliance has just launched the application for the 2018 High School Trail Corps Program. Since 2013, the Upper Valley Trails Alliance has served hundreds of local students by getting them working on local trails to give back to the community, learn valuable skills, and earn a stipend for their work. Students can apply for placement in one of four weeks in the summer of 2018. The program is open to rising freshman through graduating seniors. This Saturday, Feb. 3, come to TA for a day full of basketball and to benefit a great cause! The JV and varsity girls basketball teams will be taking on Rivendell at 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., respectively.
