Thetford Academy is looking forward to hosting students and families for two community events on August 27: a new student welcome and TA's annual back to school picnic. Beginning at 4:00 p.m., TA invites all new, incoming students to campus for a fun opportunity to get comfortable before the first day of school. New students will learn to navigate TA's campus and classrooms, walk their schedule, meet classmates and teachers, and get first-day-of-school questions answered. The energetic local 90's tribute band Lazer Dad takes the stage tonight for the final installment of Thetford Academy's "Schoolhouse Rocks" summer concert series. If you want to "journey back to a time when the music was dope, the girls were fly, and the fashion was fresher than the Prince of Bel Air," then this one's for you. Long-time teacher Joe Deffner was honored with the 2023 Peters Family Dedicated Employee Award at the end-of-year ceremonies in June. TA families will receive a copy in the back-to-school packet being mailed out this week.
