The 2021-2022 school year marks the third academic year impacted by the pandemic. While teachers are excited to have students back in the classroom for in-person learning, the continued presence of Covid in our communities remains a significant source of stress and disruption for school employees and their families. At TA, the Board of Trustees wanted to help ease some of that stress before the holidays and help employees feel the gratitude and appreciation of their community. They invited parents and neighbors and friends to join in "Frozen Meals to Warm Hearts," an effort to provide all 71 TA employees...

With basketball season in full swing, TA's administrators have been fielding a lot of questions about our winter sports guidance. Please also note that TA's 100% indoor masking policy will also apply and all players and spectators will be required to wear masks....

The idea for this day was generated from both student and teacher input as a way to support the school community through the challenges of this fall and to allow focused time before going into winter break to prepare for the...

On the first Tuesday of every month, TA faculty are invited to join the “Teaching and Learning Cafe,” hosted by school counselor and teaching and learning coordinator, Rebecca Walter. The informal event allows teachers from various backgrounds to share their perspectives and experiences–while gaining new ideas about strategies they may implement in their own practice.  This fall, teachers have explored the topics of thoughtful assessment, inquiry learning, and giving group tests. They have discussed the recommendations from TA’s Antiracism Task Force and antiracism in the classroom. “Covid required teachers to find new ways to engage learners,” Rebecca shared, “The Teaching and...
