Dear TA Families, Today's brilliant white expanse of snow and clear blue sky made for a beautiful final day of 2020 here on campus. The past four months have been quite a journey - but we made it, thanks to everyone's collective effort! Kudos to students and teachers for continuing to spend time outdoors, even in chilly temps. Dear TA Families, Earlier today, Thetford Academy learned about a student with positive test results for COVID-19. Based on the particulars of the situation, we have determined that students and staff on campus were not exposed and that we do not need to close pods or the school.  We want you to know that we are taking every precaution to keep our school community safe. January Calendar Changes We are extending the fall semester (and specifically the 2nd quarter) by one week. Thetford Academy middle and high school students have teamed up with Montpelier-based nonprofit Up for Learning to make a difference in our school community. With support from the Mount Ascutney Prevention Partnership and led by TA's Student Assistance Provider Kara Toms, two groups of students (a middle school and a high school group) are participating in Up for Learning's "Getting to Y" program. Getting to Y is a youth leadership program that follows an action research model and is designed to help students bring meaning to their own Youth Risk Behavior Survey data.
